Installing Microsoft CMS 2002 Site Manager

Ok, this is one of those things on which you waste a lot of time on, and at the end you find it's a really stupid thing that you've missed.

When installing Microsoft CMS 2002, one of the components that you would want to install is the Site Manager. The default Site Manager that comes with Microsoft CMS requires Java VM, and since Java VM is not available for download any more, you're forced to install the CMS server without the Site Manager.

To get the Site Manager, you need to install Microsoft CMS 2002 SP1. After you install it, go to Add/Remove Programs, select Microsoft Content Management Server, click on Change, and then walk through the installation wizard, and choose to install the Site Manager.

Hope this saves you some time trying to figure it out.

That is for sure a great post for a starter like me with the MCMS 2002.
I have also discovered that, the Site Stager and Dev Tools should also be left without installation, up until you install the MCMS 2002.
After that, as you mentioned Wessam, we install the SP1, to be able to add the Site Manager, Site Stager, and the Dev tools.
